I would use my choice to instead get a resin upgrade pack for use on all characters, because special characters are gay and no one of good moral character uses them. One of the best things 3rd did was turn them all into varieties of beatstick so there's no incentive to run them anymore.

yestarday I came back home today, after 3 months working abroad and found out that my mother decided that my "toys", books etc took up too much spet and threw them out. Not even sold or given to someone. Just trashed them. And now I am not sure what to do. I don't think I want to rebuy my army , not even sure If I want to buy a new one. And two days ago I was spending a ton of time thinking what I want to buy for christmas. Anyone had something like that happen to them? Like someone stole your army etc and suddenly something you cared a lot about, suddenly stopped to matter.

Finally got my basecoats down, except for the patterns which I'm going to try and brave soon.Question about shading/weathering these guys; should I do an agrax/nuln wash on the red trim and recess in the shoulderpads, or leave it to the oils to do the work?Also, should I do a pinwash grey for all the white first, then do some more dirty weathering, or just say fuck it and go straight into the dirty?

Took my militia out for a swing yesterday. Their maiden match. Normally In don't play with an unfinished army, but Inindulged myself. Still made for great pics.
My Malc landed a interceptor snapshot on a Steagle when it entered play. My force commander died after a hopeless charge against Crimson Paladins, but he did so with glory.After the match we had some AI slop written about the highlights of the match.

I eventually lost the match with only a few VP difference. Once you mentally pull yourself over losing many, many units, Militia plays surprisingly well.Scoring despite of suffering statuses. Go to ground reactions, T6 ogryns due to shield wall. Discipline masters removing statuses by whacking a fellow soldier.

The good news is, I'm singlehandedly shifting the meta of my playgroup by making them reconsider taking nothing but Tacticals, command squads, and AV14 vehicles after I've demonstrated the effectiveness of "statuses out the wazoo" with my mechanicum, they're now talking about taking veteran assault squads, sicarans, and of all things Chaplains since voxes can't protect against getting hit three statuses a turn
The bad news is,they're already talking about restricting me, by imposing a 1/1k limit on domitars, krios lightning cannons, and vultarax

Mech bros, what are y'all doing for anti terminator? I've been coasting so far at massacring 3+ saves with krioses and domitars, but I haven't really come up with a solution for cataphractii other than "pin their transport and run away", and I fear that might not be enough once people finish painting their tartaros Terminators they totally always loved and weren't stuffed in a closet all of 2nd.
