if countering counts as "removal" in a general sense (which is how I usually use it), I think my favorite is when it's color-hosing and strapped to a body. Stromgald Cabal and Order of the Sacred Torch both tickle my ass in the best way possible. If you mean explicitly instants/sorceries, I'm a huge fan of Desynchronization.

Read the fucking rules, pic related. Sideboards have never been a requirement for wishes. Wishes only do not work in Commander because the Rules Committee thought 100 cards was already more than enough. WotC has always had the stance that they should work, and the ONLY hypothetical rule in the entire comprehensive rules explains how wishes WOULD work in Commander if you Rule 0 out the RC's opinion on them

Been running it since ORI. It's been powercrept by Farewell, but it costs less mana and choosing what your opponents keep is fun. I also like to run Mythos of Snapdax in my Mardu decks because it's the same thing for 4 mana.

Every time I play this card and copy it 2-3 times(without copying it more), it results in massive asshurt. I have huge spells in my deck, and each time it's stack shenanigans about how 'slow it is' when the reason it's slow is because they argue over the rules at every fucking point and eventually concede they are wrong. There's no loops or infinites. I just don't get how this is different than cascade. I have to cut it from my deck because people keep kvetching over it.

The only rocks I sometimes include are:
Sol/signet for obvious reasons. Not in every deck but if I do have rocks they are there.
Springleaf drum: paying more than 1 for a rock is bad most of the time. Signet gets a pass for being premiere at what it does.
Very specific on theme 3 drop rocks ie: wand of the worldsoul in my tokenshit deck.The real problem is rocks (and land ramp to a degree but less so) is that you need a critical mass of them in order to be able to reliably factor them in to your game plan. Unless you have 10-15 additional sources of non land mana then you are likely to see one or two a game, if that. So you just flood your deck with cards that really only shine in the early game, and every other turn are not impactful.

The best aspect of Universes Beyond is that it brings out themes and card designs that wotc would have never done in a million years. They both play card design so ridiculously safe and push powercreep at the same time. For them every blue and red card had to act like an izzet card, every green and black card had to act like a golgari card. Selesnya is probably the worst case of this. if you dont like what selesnya does youll be hard pressed to find many interesting options for a white green commander.
They are much more experimental usually with UB. THIS HOWEVER is not a postive of UB really but a knock on wotc for not fucking doing that with in universe magic

Need some help, I wanna make sure I didn't make an illegal play here
