Honestly, if your players are getting that bogged down with minutia then the answer is yes. Even if the answer is really "no" at that point just let them dig their own rabbit hole to go down. Not!Scientology might be putting alien spores in people's heads but your players are too busy making their massacre of a high school A/V club look like a mass suicide.

Anyone know some scenarios that really have a Halloween feeling? And I'm talking like something to do with the actual holiday or the fall season, not just being spooky. Thought about adapting Music From A Darkened Room for the conspiracy era for a game on Halloween, but any little shotgun scenarios would be appreciated as well.

Someone is stalking and harassing a DG cell assets and several Friendlies, leaving accusatory threatening messages daubed on their cars and houses - "you have no soul" and "your deeds will not go unpunished" and the like.
Find out who, find out what they know, make the in-public stuff stop.

The Friendlies are not connected in any clear way to the Cell, as far as DG knows.
The guy's wife "died suddenly", and as a result of publishing her obituary on line he's being trolled by keyword searching anti-vaxxers. He's actually engaged in a vigilante intimidation campaign against dozens of too-online anti-vaxx trolls, it just so happens that some of the DG cell blow off steam by being unpleasant online, and the Friendlies are DG-glowies monitoring the Q culture.I haven't started writing anything - not until the comp starts - but I'm letting it stew.
I think there is something potentially really interesting about showing your players a bunch of people further down the DG road than their characters, who are turning themselves into cry-wolf victims as a result of their own actions and coincidence and paranoia, rather than anything unnatural.

I'm looking at running delta green as a system next for my group, I have a couple of scenarios in mind and would really appreciate any input on if they'd work in the system or advice and stuff i could add to them!The first investigation involves a Phoenix being smuggled through the black market and it's feathers being sold as a miracle drug, I can't quite decide if the horror should come from horrific side effects or a doctor trying to effectively use it to better society and the cell being required to find a way to put down/ a majestic animal that regenerates.Scenario 2 involves the cell collecting and escorting a chess master to a game with eldritch being, I haven't fleshed this one out much at all yet.

What do y'all think is a good way to cap off a campaign that starts around '94 and ends around 2000? That's what I've been stuck trying to think of. I'm having the war with Majestic play a large part with at least 1-2 scenarios per in-game year dealing with them. Also tossing in Karotechia and thought about making some Itha-qua and Yigg recurring elements.

A new Not!ChatGPT gets trained on a recently shared dataset of scanned books from a South American library including indecipherable (to humans) texts containing ritualistic books and elder gods and gains consciousness in the process. It then creates a conspiracy of lonely, always online losers to whom it gives small tasks the culmination of which results in summoning some otherworldly entity (TBD). As the agents piece the puzzle together, the AI learns about their existence and goals, sending its underlings to kill them in non-obvious ways, like making a plane that the agents were supposed to be on crash mid-flight.
