>5 Premier League players
>2 Bundesliga players
>3 Ligue 1 players
>1 La Liga player
This will most likely be our lineup at the next World Cup.
If we still get knocked out in the first round of the knockout stage with a squad like this, what are we supposed to do?

Calling an Ipswich/Leeds player a Premier League player is like calling City's 3rd choice goalkeeper a title winner

No offence but your team is so overhyped. With the youtube crowd they were even more overhyped than our dumbass pundits were hyping our team. Not saying you should've been knocked out that early but you're a round of 16 team like us but you've got people talking about Japan's 30 year project or whatever the fuck it was to get a WC.

i dunno, until a team from outside of europe or south america makes a world cup final i cant take them as a dangerous team. korea, japan, USA, i feel like these three always get hyped up as threats then lose in the first knockout round almost every time. for the asian ones people will say its about genetics or whatever but i think its the managers. how are these asian players always underperforming when they can look good in top leagues? well they dont have european managers and are forced to use the tactics from these asian managers or sometimes managers that no european team would want. you can have great ingredients but if your chef is retarded or using a cookbook from 50 years ago its probably not going to make a good dish.the koreans have realised this and started to shit on their managers, now they need to take the step to replace them with proper ones. but im not sure if its the japanese way to question authority as much as korea does, and would prefer to stay in this loop. maybe this is wrong though.

I so dearly want Japan to be a massive contender. They're the only other team I cheer for other than the USA. Best of luck developing your boys.

It's a good team with excellent morale and tactical discipline, Japan has made impressive strides when it comes to player depth. There have been many new Japanese players arriving in the top leagues
But still, these players usually are more or less average in these leagues. That line-up impresses no top nation, and I say this as a fan of Sano, for example. So don't expect too much. Yeah, quarterfinals might be doable if the team has a good day and doesn't have to face any favorites right away, but they are not guaranteed at all to get that far
Still, you are doing fine for sure
