She deserved to be laughed at, but online, hatred from a few hundred people turns into hatred from billions quite quickly, and that was really excessive.There's not a single poster on /sp/ who can breakdance better than Raygun can, and I would bet all my money on that. First off, she was the lowest ranked competitor there so her coming dead last shouldn't surprise anyone.
Second was the scoring. I can't find any images of the scorecards used but did find an article about it. They were judged on Technique, Originality, Musicality, Vocabulary and Execution and the points were for who won in a head to head basis on each of those criteria. I think she knew she couldn't win on technique and so gambled on trying to squeeze out some points elsewhere even if it wasn't a very good show of breakdancing skill. The judges didn't seem all that keen on rewarding this attempt to game the system and so she lost across the board.
