What would have happened if humans never mined/ pumped fossil fuels? Would all the oil and coal disappear into the earth's core and the surface would eventually run out of carbon, making life impossible? Where does all the carbon on earth come from anyway? We were wondering about water but we have multiple planetary bodies with water in our solar system. None with a majority of carbon (except maybe Titan?).

Carbon searchers don’t know about the Carboniferous Era. Plants made so much carbon we had to buy it all. It was a mess.

>What would have happened if humans never mined/ pumped fossil fuels? low level hand farming hunting civilization, like old west with horses and wagons. You can look up the graph that represents the relationship between energy vs economic growth.>Where does all the carbon on earth come from anyway? created during supernovas and blasted out in space to be accumulated in accretion disks that form planets around stars.

>Would all the oil and coal disappear into the earth's core and the surface would eventually run out of carbon, making life impossible? I don't think so, the mantle should have just as much material. But the Earth isn't going to move a lot more before it dies so it's not going to the core. It's still trapped though. So maybe releasing CO2 could turn the planet into a jungle again, but that's not going to happen since we don't even let forests exist in most of the world.
