I think I'm dying from alcoholic liver disease and I'm scared. I can't even go to sleep because I have some abdominal pain. No I'm not drinking anymore. I had to use medications to get to sleep. I have no other symptoms it seems but that. I'm currently waiting for my lab tests, but I'm not really anticipating it. I'm about to be age 31 in 5 days. Yes I know I could've quit, but, it seems this world was too much for me.. So, if it does indeed turn out that I have this I just wanted to let you know that you were always good to me, perhaps not in the most transparent way, but you always told me the truth about this world that others would not, even very ugly ones and I thank you for that. But I could not handle it, especially of finding things on my own accord. Nor could I deal with social obligations in the very beginning and it exhausted me. So I die the fate of a tired man and a burdened participant.. Perhaps.. I will get some peace after this life .. One would hope.. If this is fatal that is..

Alcoholic liver disease has 4 broad stages. Fatty liver Hepatitis Early cirrhosis Late cirrhosisIs your eyes, skin, palm getting yellow? Severity eyes< skin< palmcan you feel your liver? press right side of your belly just below the last rib and compare with other part of belly. if you feel it then does it crosses the belly button?Is your abdomen distended?In lab result check ALT, AST level how much it is? Check Bilirubin level (direct and indirect)chances of survival in early stages are high you don't need to worry. In later stages once scarring starts it would be hard. So avoid alcohol, eat healthy and you don't have to worry so much. Always tell your physician about your ALD during visit.

Have high iron levels last I tested. Think the doctor suggested I might have hemochromatosis. Haven't have access/seen a doctor in a while. How often should I give away blood to manage it? How much is safe? I don't know my current iron levels so it's just guess work. Haven't had treatment for it yet.
