I find it funny how years ago back in 2018 mathematicians and physicists kept calling computer science brainlets.
Every time you posted about studying computer science someone would say >not a science leave this board
and now computer science came along and is improving day by day and is destorying the important problems in both fields such as Navier Stokes and S^6
Now it is scary I wonder what will be the limit and what is next for the average scientist

it's also (being blamed for) destroying jobs, including those of CS students and graduatesyet LLMs are fucking blackboxes. AFAIK, no one really understands why they work.

you realize the lead developer at openai was a mathematician, right? and that mathematicians were involved in solving the problem you mentioned?
