let's say i have the working lean proof of a very famous conjecture (not a millennium problem). is there a way to make money from this? i personally don't give a fuck about math and i'll probably drop the whole thing on github anonymously (and it will probably be solved within days regardless), but i wonder is there's a market for this? maybe i should write openai and ask if they want it to flex their model? though i guess they can read my chats anyway kek

You mean to tell me a buttoncel with little to no background or understanding in math produced a proof and verified it in Lean? The answer is no. Some other guy will just spit it out for free.

Publish on Zenodo or anywhere else that easily lets you get a DOI. Eventually Wikipedia will have to cite it, someone will reference it and you can get a legit Wikipedia page, use that to get a better job.

The most you can hope for is some mild engagement on X. Outside of millennium problems the general public won't care and mathematicians won't be impressed by your prompting skills.

Mathematicians typically are not interested in just a solution to a conjecture, but how it is solved. If you can't communicate how the AI solved the problem, it is useless.A good example is FLT. The methods developed in the proof are far, far more interesting than the result itself.

Approaching the AI company seems ok but publishing it under your name might be even better.

I want to go back to a pre-LLM world. I'm tired.

I've made a breakthrough as well, but in a pretty niche field. I unironically barely know algebra and don't know what to do with this proof. Presumably others will find it soon.

Many problem classes (especially if they're famous) have prizes associated with them. You should submit there instead of github.
