All social sciences are real sciences in the sense that yes, there's actual scientific work being produced there. The issue with social sciences is that they don't filter out non-science, so a lot of BS gets tangled with actual science and it's even harder to differentiate because there's peer pressure to pretend all approaches are legitimate.Keep in mind that this is not an issue specific to psychology and other social sciences, physics has string theory.

People have fairly predictable responses to various stimuli and that response can be measured and utilized, yes. Psychology is objectively a science under every definition that matters.

Psychology is a science of the psyche, to understand a machine you have to take it apart, to understand someone else you must know yourself and that is not taught in schools

It is, but the overwhelming majority of its practitioners suck at the scientific method (because the field is full of foids and non-whites). Economics has the exact same problem.
