I have some neck vein distension and it originates from the neck up to the ears. I have objective tinnitus or ear sounds but only 20 times a minute-ish. I have fullness of the ears and dry eyes.
The most problematic symptom I have that is that I can't sit or stand upright for long without chest pain getting worse.This is not a test I need some treatment right now...

My whole fucking class is on "ADHD" "meds". Fucking junkies. But here I am drinking copious cups of coffee and eating zyns, but IM THE ONE WITH THE PROBLEM?! Should I just get on the amphetamine train like everyone else? Anyone can get le heckin ADHD diagnosis these days. My fuck. I'm not sure what happened to the curriculum but even young grads are saying that our current workload is higher than what they had 5-10 years ago. The content isn't hard either, but my fuck the volume is h i g h. Even Anki-ing for up to 600qd is just keeping me at pace for content.

I could tolerate the grey hair but this is bullshit.Not only do I have pretty severe ear pain randomly, it's wrapping around my neck and head; started from side of neck, now on lower chin / beard area, behind ear, back of head, and now even my forehead tingles. It's the second fucking day.
(I got valacyclovir already, be honest with me, I need Prednisone too don't I)

how do i tell what medical specialty i want to do? i'm stuck between family medicine since I can do a DPC practice and general surgery. I wish I could some how do both or even family medicine with more procedural intensity. Missing out on the OR and abdominal organs forever would be a loss, but idk if I really want to give up my time and body to a hospital system for the rest of my life.

Hi /med/, I'm looking for some advice. My father was just diagnosed with a large mass in his lung. He's scheduled to receive a biopsy to determine what sort of cancer it is specifically (e.g. lung vs something else that travelled) and begin treatment asap. I'm already aware that the biopsy and potentially NGS and IHC are going to be necessary to put together a treatment plan. In the meantime, I'm trying to find data on anything he should be doing in terms of diet and exercise (or anything else really) to help improve his chances since he's already started losing weight and muscle mass. There's the obvious stuff like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and lean protein, but I'm wondering if there's something else he should be doing. If anyone has gone through this or is aware of any resources or papers I'd love to read them and would really appreciate it.

you ever feel like your brain is near max capacity of memory? that's kind of what i've felt like lately.
i'm like halfway into my residency right now and i feel like i'm approaching the maximum storage for my brain and it's harder to internalize new information. i used to be really quick at recalling stuff. numbers, names. i could remember all the details about a thing days or weeks later. now it feels like less details are recorded and able to be called back. it's like i'm at 80 or 90% of the functionality i had a year ago.
i've been trying to figure out what the fuck is going on. is it stress? i had a "difficult" septoplasty like 6 months ago and i was attributing these mental symptoms to a post-anesthesia thing but that was a while ago now. i even quit drinking and doing any drugs other than adderall back before the surgery.
am i getting old and this just happens in your late 20s? . i feel like my brain is damaged. do i just keep trucking and maybe it fixes itself? i'm at a loss here.
