90% of the bio papers I’ve read in the last 5 years have been biologists’ hamfisted attempts at doing physics/math to model animal anatomy/behavior.Biology has become wannabe physics.

Most up do date models in modern biology are maybe slightly less leaky and definitely have weaker predictive power than the SM. We didn't even marry the synthetic theory with literally any population model yet. And that's all models which actually fail at explaining a ton of phenomena. I don't feel like we're winning over physicists on anything other than being less autisticv on average and actually having a ton of sexable people who menstruate in out field.
