>Are you a Convex Optimization appreciator?
uhh yes?
>Do you know people who work in this field or regularly use its tools?
industrial engineering and economics lol.
>What's hotter?
unifying it with euler lagrange or field theory.
it ends up as optimal control / pontryagin maximum principle so idk.
>Have you learned the KKT conditions and used them since you learned them?
>KKT
>Lagrange + First order conditions + Complementary Slackness + Slater's conditions
Nothing fancy
Convex optimization is useful when you want global optimality, can handle inequality constraints, and also works well with nonsmooth or non-differentiable objectives + helps with proof making.
>proving necessary and sufficient conditions for optimality
