Curve a soccer ball by changing where it hits the top of your foot, if you want to curve it downwards bounce it against the ground at a angle so it spins and then kick the shit out of it so hit the goalie on the head

Sit on (anticipate) that pitch or at least read that it's not a fastball out of the hand. at the highest levels teams have scouting reports on pitchers down to the rpm of each pitch.
