The steady groaning of the steel submarines structure can be heard throughout the vessel. It doesn't take an experienced mariner to know you're deep enough to cause even the sturdiest of materials great pressure from the current environment. The amount of time you've all been trapped here, how longs it been again? You turn around to check the calendar in your sleeping quarters. APRIL 3, 2100 Shit, that's right. You slap yourself on the forehead, the skin from your palm collides and makes an audible smacking noise. It's been not one, not two, but THREE! Fucking months on this vessel. You knew when you signed up for this contract that you'd spend a great deal of time here, but not this long! You sigh aloud in the shared room. You're currently the only one in it, it's not break time and most people are still toiling away making sure the sub stays in one piece. You needed this break though, the day has been particularly tough on both your body and mind. If there's been anything positive about your time spent so far though, it's that the occasional noise or hiss from the sub no longer immediately puts you on your toes. That's not to say you were particularly wanting to be acclimated to moving around in the open, vulnerable in this metal coffin. If you would've had your way, you'd of found a cushy administrative job back at a nearby outpost, not nearly as deep below as you currently are. Whatever, just keep pushing along. The sooner you get back to work, the better your chances of nobody finding out you took a temporary leave from your duties. Right.. your duties, what was it you were hired for again? >Security >Navigations >Engineering & Maintenance >General Assistant

You're an engineer. That's what all your certifications tell your employers anyway, this is your first time actually being aboard a vessel. When you had first laid eyes on it back at Kiloz, an outpost located deep within the Marianas border, you were in awe of it. Though many cargo subs can be vast in size, this is the first of it's kind. You don't know much on the backstory, but the construction of this submarine was largely invested in by a wealthy magnate from a powerful governing council far from where the western world is concerned. It's size is something to behold, a regular outpost can typically be home to just under a hundred people, this ship is basically that, though able to move and be commandeered by a navigation crew. The title of this vessel is painted across the walls of the narrow hallways you walk across, 'Spirit Of The Wakazi'.Typically your shifts aren't anything to write home about, at least not so far. The occasional patching of a compromised part, at worst in these few months you've had to repair the outer hull from whatever it was banging into a few hundred clicks in the direction you were coming from. You tried asking around about what could possibly put a dent into something this huge and armored, you've only received vague responses from the typical personnel who handle these matters."Thomson," a gruff voice calls out from behind.Shit, it's your fucking manager. You turn around, behind you is a fairly rotund man though he has quite a bit of muscle mass as well. There's no denying this man has his fair share in alcohol, you've seen him pound it back yourself, sometimes you wonder how people like this manage to get position of power. Anyhow, it's fucking Craig, Head Engineer placed in charge for this expedition. This guy's always on your ass and frankly you're getting sick of it. Supposedly you're only a day out from your next stop at Cozy Outpost, a renowned party oasis, despite it's hostile environment from the outside."I need you keeping an eye on the outer hull near Nav quarters, something is stirring the ship in strange directions again," he tells you.>Question him on what the word is about this thing outside>Do as you're told, you're probably not going to get a straight answer out of him>Fuck that, I'm tired of this shit!

Interesting Barotrauma-ish quest. I'll bite!
