You know why circumsision was prevelant in the middle east centuries ago? Because a cut dick is easier to mainatin without soap and running water. That's it. I am cut and I want infant circumcision banned even for religious reasons. If we can accept that things like human sacrifice are not protected by freedom of religion, we can reasonably accept that mutilating your own child also shouldn't be. Moreover, if someone wants to convert to Judaism, they can do so when they become an adult. The parents should not just get to decide that for them.
