Americans are bitching about gas prices when in reality the average American uses 50 gallons of gas per month. I'm sure some people are more. I am. I use around 80 per month. I currently on average am paying $120 more per month than I was in February. This has gone on 6 months so I have paid $720 or so more for gas than I would in those 6 months. No big deal to me, I make plenty and can deal with it. But the average difference in gas price is around $1.50 for me now vs before. 50 gallons x $1.50 = $75. The average American is bitching about having to spend $450 more over 6 months. I am willing to bet you money if 100 Americans were forced to give over their spending over the past 6 months that 70% of them would have spent more than $900 on fast food, meal delivery or other bullshit expenses. The American consumer simply is so used to things being convenient that anything outside of the normal is deadly to them. And most are too retarded to realize that inflation over the past 5 years has caused them to be spending several hundreds more per month on normal expenses. All this to say trying to get the average American to understand the bond market and how the current fiscal policy is only going to result in hyperinflation which means their current bitching about $75 more per month will be laughable but as I mentioned Americans do not understand inflation. The same retards that ate up lower taxes on overtime and tips will not be able to understand how that causes their ground beef to double in price over the next 3 years.

The global reserve currency has switched several times over the last millennia but there has to be a viable alternative, which so far hasn't happened. No one trusts the European Central Bank nor China to handle the global reserve currency, so even with the issues others have with the US, the USD continues to be the reserve currency. Here and there trade happens in local currency pairs but due to asymmetry in trade amounts, they still end up using USD to an extent and thus it's not a real threat.
