Seriously. He'd have to stop somewhere somehow. Just ride it out. What's the worst that could happen (and would that really be worse than what did happen?)

There was no domestic political pressure to help poland, Hitler was going east not west, they weren't allied to Japan, the Soviet was engaged in multiple land grabs with no military backed threats. They were also very belligerent to Mussolini over a Ethiopian shithole. Porbably wans't a demand from jews because they made 0 effort in actually defending poland.
Maybe it was just ego for making them look stupid?
