CDL A jobs seem cool, but even if i decide i don't want to drive one of those big trucks, i can settle with Class B vehicles and there are a lot of other kinds of jobs for Class B drivers too. being one of those OTR drivers seems like it might be kinda cool too, where you just drive for weeks and sleep in the cab of the truck.
either that, or i was thinking of getting an armed guard license, so i can be an armed security guard and just stand around all day with a gun, that's my backup plan
right now, i'm waiting though to see if my county will pay for trucker school for me to get the license, if not, then i'll just save up money and go pay for one myself

10/19/25, 03:32No.519250963I worked on barges up and down the Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee and Illinois rivers. Unfortunately, I got my security clearance revoked when the felonies came to light. Kek. It's an awesome fucking job working out on the rivers. Beautiful scenery and everyone on the boat is really cool, if you can't act right or get along with everyone they pull that shit over at the first safe place along the bank and kick your ass off. It's the most badass job I've ever had and it pays really well once you get promoted past just a deckhand. It is HARD work though. Oh yeah, the best part is the food. Trained chefs and you can eat as much as you can handle. You can even ask the cook to order special requests like different kinds of cereal or a box of fudge rounds and they'll get it for you. I've never eaten so well or so much in my life. The food really is the best part of an all-around awesome job.
