Both in camera tone curve purists and PC post processing enthusiasts are equally retarded. Like with most things the truth lies in the middle. It's nice to be able to judge your exposure, set your tones and color/white balance in camera to get good results right away but it's not critical to always get everything absolutely right at the moment of capture. Shooting with little regard for your in camera settings and trying to fix everything in post is equally as retarded and comes from decades of DSLR use. Smart people don't pay for a good, modern cameras to not use most of their capabilities. As an intelligent person with a good camera system that can produce great results straight out of the camera most of the times I try to give my in camera settings a little bit of extra attention but if there is no time for tinkering I just make sure my exposure is right and my highlights protected and I just fix the rest later in post. World is not all black and white. Right or wrong. Good or bad. There is some nuance to everything.
