It is hands down my favourite kind of photography even though it has many limitations.
Actually i think that being that limited kinda forces me to try and be creative even though many shots gets blown out.
Or maybe i simply enjoy shooting and having the pic with me istantly.... the best way to collect memories with friends.

Do you scan your physicals always? Or just when you want to /p/ost them? Seems like it would be nice to amass a digital library in addition to the instant photos.

I wish there were manual ILC instax cameras, something like the polaroid goose but for films that are still in production. Nons makes some but they have these stupid speed boosters in the body because they chose to use 35mm format lens mounts on all of them and the IQ is really no better than the plastic lens instax cameras. They really should have just used 645 or 6x7 lenses...

These look pretty good. It tempts me to get an instant camera but iirc the actually photos are basically 1"x1" or some shit.

I understand the appeal but I feel like they sorta have the opposite problem, they are instant and allow no editing so you dont really learn anything from them
also, what are you gonna do with them except be the 500000th person to make a polaroid wall
