After about a year, I sold my GRiiix. The size and image quality is pretty great, but there are some problems.-the camera doesn’t feel like a durable, premium product considering the price. It’s almost completely plastic, and every dial and button feels cheap and rickety. 20 year old cheap point and shoot digicams have more robust build quality than this. I don’t trust it long term at all, especially considering the horror stories of trying to get these things repaired through Ricoh.-it truly is a dust vacuum. I kept mine in a perfectly clean fanny pack inside a brand new beer coozie for protection, but it still sucked up enough dust to show on the sensor.-baked in noise reduction on raw files makes it incredibly difficult to use better algorithms in post.-autofocus is a total joke. It’s so so so bad. It’ll miss in the easiest of situations.-40mm is a good focal length but it is a bit tight sometimes.-I get why it’s not there, but I really do miss having a viewfinder.Going back to an ILC, fun camera but considering the exorbitant price these things are going for it’s not worth it. I don’t think these things are durable enough for the “always on you” gimmick they go for.
