I'm deploying to McMurdo for winfly in a couple weeks.
Anyone else heading down this season?
Anyone do a season or two in the past - any tips?

There's less than 100 guys on this board, 90% of them never went out I'll let you compute the chances that the remaining 10% is one of the 3000 guys worldwide that is in the Antarctic program. What I'm trying to say is don't listen to anyone here or you'll literally die

Retired Coastie here. I made 6 Deep Freeze deployments to McMurdo 1980-86. My advice is, get a complete set up of Dungeons and Dragons books and dice. Start brewing up a campaign before you depart. You want to have about 3 weeks of play time all rolled up and ready to go.Give your coworkers a little escapist fantasy RPG action, you won’t regret it. D&D got me through all 6 South trips and a year of isolated duty at a LORAN station at the Arctic Circle.
