They aren't. From what I have seen they promote unrealistic standards and fixate on being outside as a means to its own end. Meaning they entirely focus on living in or around the campsite. Meanwhile actual travels are entirely neglected - understandably because the audience isn't interested in hours of marching. But also because the content creator simply drove a motorvehicle up to the site they want to film at and set up lights and cameras. So essentially: Those guys always present the audience with objects no sane or actually outdoors person would ever dream. of bringing out and they will spend alot of time and energy trying to get as comfortable as possible at a campsite while in reality after a long trip you barely have the energy to pitch for the night and hit the hay before sundown.
