In every single third world shithole I've been to (Greece, Brazil, Turkey, China, Morocco, Egypt South Africa and India) the nature is filled to the brim with plastic and "people" can't even comprehend why it's bad to destroy nature. The chain of thought is basically : nature is something I can scam (litter and steal from) without repercussions so why not ? I love my area of Appalachia. I bought 10 acres with a 2,000 sq foot house at a very reasonable price. My property is in an area that is mostly national forest and for that reason is very lightly populated. A 200 acre state wildlife sanctuary borders my western property line. Appalachia has a moderate climate, lush vegetation, abundant sunshine and rainfall. We have strong storms that bring heavy rain that quickly pass leading to sunny days. These strong passing storms provide us ample rain while allowing a high percentage of sun during the day. Portions of Appalachia are designated as temperate rain forest. Appalachia has a tremendous amount of freshwater streams and rivers enabling an abundance of fish and wildlife, including large game such as white tail deer, feral pigs and black bears. Appalachia also has a rugged, independent, even rebellious population. Appalachia's rugged terrain, moderate climate, abundant fresh water and game make it a perfect area for the guerrilla war fighter. There are many reasons that US Army Green Berets and Rangers retire to Appalachia. It is a place that calls people steeped in guerrilla warfare home. Most places worth living are heavily populated. If everyone there set snares, cut trees, poached and built as they see fit those places would be run down desolate wastelands in no time. the alternative is what fish and wildlife does raising farm fish in a pit of water feeding them doggy treats sending a message out that X lake will be filled in the next week then mass dumping a thousand in the pool while hungry fisherman wait who then use doggy pellet type bait and pull in their 5 limit within an hour because the dumb fish weren't raised in any environment to know better >hunting if people wanted to fix hunting they'd allow us to turn off the disney movie and kill cougars with dogs and traps again those fuckers have a hunting license to harvest 54 deer a year my state ranks highest in the nation at 6000 which translates to 324,000 deer carcasses a year whereas hunters are harvesting 30,000-42,000 a year. So the human to cougar kill rate is nearly 10x. best part is humans are combat hunting with each other when there's a much bigger problem. and more recently my state has added wolves to the mix as well oh and cougar population was less than 2000 in the 1980s so its definitely retarded lawmakers giving these animals a rampage right of way so in a way OP has a point despite coming from a different point of view. fuck cougars.
