I'm backpacking right now
its 30 degrees
my feet, back and shoulders hurt
there's mosquitos everywhere I can't even rest for 10 sec
is this what people are hyping about?

Sounds like a mix of skill issue and location issue

Why did you think hiking when it’s that hot would be enjoyable?

From the picture it looks like it's 90 degrees not 30

No, the ones hyping are somewhere other than a swamp.

Hi I've been doing day hikes for over 10 years. And have front country camped fewer times than I have fingers.I finally started getting into backpacking and have done a few multi night weekend trips, starting Friday evening and ending back home on Sunday evening for work the next day.So far I really like it but my main concern is I always go alone. I'm wanting to go on longer routes now. There's something about being alone in nature that I enjoy. I have planned a few back country routes in the Yukon and going this summer.Thank you
