africa is the most slept on /out/ing place. south africa is noob-tier, but also immensely beautiful.
ethiopia is criminally underrated. it is an absolutely stunning country with one of the richest histories in the world.

Africa isn't slept on. I think everyone agrees it has beautiful /out/. The problem is the people who occupy these places. I've seen trip reports from cool places there, but they all require hiring guides who travel with you carrying AK-47s.

Full of people who are desperate for money and see you as a way to get it. Full of insurgent groups. Full of horrible diseases and basically no medical care. Yeah sounds really slept on! I'd love to see it but it's not worth the cost/risk.

is no one gonna mention that the two trips talked about in this thread were in the 1960's and africa is objectively way less safe in the grand scheme of things then it was then. Sure there are individual places that are much more developed and safe then in the 60's but the continent has been degrading consistently since they kicked out the dutch
