Well you move out slowly and keep looking where you're going. You're not going to hit anything if you go slow enough to react. If there's a car in the way, they should be smart enough to either back up or honk if they can't. People have "close calls" all the time in the parking lots. But nothing happens if everyone is careful.

So, the choices in parking style are a lot simpler after that ban.

The only time I back in to a parking spot is when I'm driving something with such shit turn radius that I wouldn't be able to pull the front into a parking spot without having to correct myself to be straight.You do realise that your head swivels on your neck? all normies have a car manufactured in or after 2018 so they have a wide angle backup camera that provides better visibility than driving straight out after backing in to a spot, as well as screaming blind spot chimes. nothing is more nervewracking than pulling out of a spot you backed into with two full size suvs/HD pickups on either side. The front of your car is simply in god's hands for the first couple feet.

Pulling in and backing out is the true adult babies choice. It's 2 seconds fast than backing in, and doesn't take any practice, while putting all of the responsibility on whoever is driving by to stop when they see you backing out. When backiing in you have full control of the situation when pulling out, and don't have to rely on the world to baby you, because you can actually see what is going on and make decisions. It also just doesn't make any sense to put your stearing wheels in first if you have put any thought in to how it will make your car swing.

My car has 360 panoramic cameras that see wya more than you realize. And it also has all kinds of safety stuff built in to keep from hitting shit. It has literally saved me from more than once accident that the people who hacked my phone have tried to cause me to get into. It will auto panic brake for me when a crash is imminent, and even swerve me away from danger while I'm driving. And when I am backing up, not only do the cameras give me a pretty fucking crazy and unbelievable birds eye view of my surroundings, it also has all kinds of stuff flashing on my giant ass screen showing me that not only ly something is coming, but which direction is is coming from and which direction it is going, and I think it may even calculate general speed and base warning severity on that.My car is dummy proof.It even drives for me.

I don’t remember backing into a space in America ever being required. We all pulled in forward because it was the quickest way in, and there’s plenty of room. Here in Japan, you’re required to back into the space unless stated otherwise. You’ll have a real tough time pulling forward into a tiny space, though you do see it very rarely. It’s most often done when there are no cars in adjacent spaces or at convenience store lots.

Generally I park further out so I can pull through the parking spaces. Spending twenty more seconds walking isn't a big deal and avoids all manner of conflict involving thousands of lbs of metal and glass.
