I bought an old car that had been sitting for 20 years.
I drove to the other side of the country to buy the car. The owner hadn't told me that the interior was covered in bird shit. He had left the window open or something and a bird had shatted all over the place.
I literally had no choice but to do a cross-country road trip in that car, sitting in shit, grabbing a shitty steering wheal etc. screaming "ewww!" the whole way.
I've now spent 2 days cleaning the interior with whatever methods I can come up wit.
But here's the issue: I'm an OCD type of guy. I fear that I'll never accept the car even if I spent the rest of my life polishing the interior. All I can think of is shit atoms being embedded everywhere.
Any tips? Take it apart 100% and meticulously desinfect every nook and cranny?

Bird shit inside the car is so much worse than outside.
If it's on the outside you can just blast it with a pressure washer.

Short of reupholstering everything all you can do is clean it and flip it because you're right that will be all you ever think about with the car.

And I say that as somebody who flew from North Carolina to Minnesota, bought picrel bike that was grossly misrepresented by the owner, and rode it back anyway. Nobody makes us be retarded for our hobby.You either take the entire interior down to the metal and rebuild, or you live with what you've done.

for what it's worth if you've ever farted in the seats they are gonna contain doodoo molecules too, so the bird shit is kinda irrelevant if you've cleaned it all up. just don't lick anything, I guess.
