There's no reason to buy a RWD sports car over an AWD one in the current year if its offered.
Slightly more weight for way more grip, way faster 0-60, way faster and safer in rain and snow and rough terrain and on stuff like the BMWS you can even turn it fully off if you want.
I'm actually surprised it took manufacturers so long to realise.

Manufacturers don't offer AWD manual vehicles besides the GR Corolla and the WRX and not all AWD is created equal.This should be the hirearchy:
1. Manual full time AWD
Manual RWD is a tie, really depends on taste, the driving dynamics flavor cannot be fully replicated by AWD
3.Manual part time AWD
4. Manual FWD
5. Whatever other autoslop they have now

My current car is RWD but AWD is best and I prefer it overall. No need a be a homo about it though as it's mostly due to preference.

AWD is good for some things, but...
It is on modern sports cars because everyone demanded power and 0-60 times to the point that the idiots buying them couldn't handle them with RWD.
