I think it reflects where Honda is at right now. Apart from the Type R(likely the last good Honda), they've completely keeled over when it comes to making any sort of enthusiast orientated cars. Its soulless EVs with built-in generators from here on out.

I want one cause I think it's sexy. On the other hand terrible engine and transmission. And far to expensive for what it is. I feel like I need to buy it new though otherwise it just sends manufacturers the message "no we don't want new 2-door cars". But they can't just make it lightweight with a stick they have to have the auto cvt monkeys paw

I don't even hate the idea of a hybrid prelude but with only 200hp and no lsd or AWD it's just not worth $43k
it either needed to be cheaper (drop the type R suspension and brakes if you have to) or have a hybrid system with 250-300hp and some rear axle electric assist like toyota offers on the prius

They couldn't even give it 250hp? If it had just a bit more oomph, I could understand it. The design is actually great, it looks pretty slick (especially the rear). I don't hate the idea, but the price and performance are awful. I hear the Prelude is somehow even slower than the Civic Hybrid? What are we doing here, bros?
