I'm friends with my neighbour and would be happy to help them wrench if they asked. I wouldn't charge because I'm not a fucking jew. I'd refuse if I thought the work was beyond my capability or if I have prior engagements.

I helped twice in the last 12 months. Although I wasn't able to fix it (parts were all special order) I did diagnose the problem correctly.Was happy to help and asked nothing in return, although they did give me a cup of tea and then a box of chocolates. I'd do it again because they're nice people.
