It depends entirely on your workload. If you're actually planning on moving above 7k lbs regularly then it may be worth it to step up to the 5.7 but at the end of the day its a half ton truck. Its in the same payload capacity as a f150, or silverado 1500. Those trucks often do just fine with a v6, or even now an i4.
Its nice to have the extra power, but if its struggling to pull something with the 4.6, you probably shouldn't be pulling it in the first place.
