I will be traveling to Moab in October and want to do some mountain biking.
I have the stamina to ride for 7+ hours, but have never done so at elevation or in the desert heat.
Besides making sure my bike in good condition, what else do I need with me to go on some of these rides?
are flats common? do I need spare tubes? Whats a good water carrying setup that isnt a camelback or backpack? i hate those
What trails can you recommend as a good starter to get my bearings in and get used to the environment. I want to eventually do a difficult trail.
There are soooo many bike paths around Moab that I have no idea where to start.
