I stopped riding bikes around 2015. Became a cagie and got fat. Recently my son wanted to start riding bike. I went out and bought a cheap 95 specialized rockhopper. Replaced the shocks with a ridgid fork, got new flats to replace the plastic pedals. But when I went to my local bike shop to get some bar ends the guys there told me no ones uses them anymore. What the fuck happened? Everything is electric now, nothing is in 26" anymore, no more single speeds, no more 3-by cranksets, no rim brakes. What did I miss in the past 11 years?
