Typical cognitive process of the motorist are on display here.
In no other scenario it's considered just, fair or decent, to set an object in motion such that it becomes dangerous as a result of it's speed, momentum and energy, without absolute certainty, that it's path is clear and it can be brought to a halt well in time, should anyone approach from outside the field of view or anything unexpected happen.
For example you don't get to break loose boulders on hillsides, wether it's your intention to hit someone or you just accept the possibility without posessing actual knowledge of the outcome.
In the collective consensus or the hivemind this basic concept got inverted through (((cultural influences))) when the context is motorvehicles. This goes hand in hand with the erosion of accountability and responsibility and a majority finding comfort in a transfer of those, along with freedom, to a leviathan (Ellul for more on that).
And just like that you arrive in a society where 'It is not my fault that I killed someone, the state posted a speed limit, which I adhered to while blindly taking a turn, fully aware of the fact I would not be able to bring my vehicle to a halt, should something unexpected come into view around the turn. ' is accepted, while it is no different from 'I dislodged the boulder or took a pop shot in that general direction as no signs were posted telling me not to do so and I was not aware it would hit someone'.
The motorist truly embodies everything that makes a disgusting person.
