it's an easy thing to just pay for and be successful. You don't need to be an amazing vocalist, but if you can sing well enough (anybody can with training), and you're kinda hot, then your parents can just pay for music videos/songwriters/producers and make you a star. That said, I don't know why Rebecca Black is on attempt like #40 of weird rebrands and still nobody cares
