im a neet so i feel guilty for not practicing 14 hours a day when i have the time to do so, but i only get in 2-4 hours of practice every day usually... how long do other jobless losers here like me practice each day? maybe i should quit the rest of my other time consuming hobbies, ive mostly quit gaming and watching anime and movies for more time now but i just end up wasting that time instead of practicing

for playing patterns on bass such as this one fast: 5--------- -5---8--- ---6---6- should i be fretting both 5th fret strings by raking with my index, or is it better to start with the middle finger on the first 5 and then index for next, then moving the middle to the 6th again to get into the position of pinky on 8th fret? does it matter?...

So I put my compressor between my dirt and mods between just to fuck about, and it's been there for two days, and I really like it there. It's a cheap mooer yellow, but oddly, it really takes the brightness of my amp, which I had debated on changing the speaker in (it's a Blue Marvel. People seem split on it). Oddly, at the from of my chain, it didn't really help. I don't know if it's even worth changing the speaker in a Peavey Express 112. These amps don't seem to be sought after like the other 112s. I'm only really using it because I got it for 50 bucks. It's not a bad amp, but the speaker is such a weak point.

I've been experimenting making my own guitar picks. My conclusion: Credit cards suck for it, old ID cards work well, but the best cards to use are old health insurance cards. The bonus is sometimes those come with blanks. They work very well and I have been using one for two months with minimal wear and they very similar to nylon picks in the sound.

I'm looking to start guitar and I think I've decided on getting an Ibanez GIO GRX70QA as my starter guitar.I live in an apartment so I don't think playing through an amp would work without getting noise complaints so I want to hook the guitar into my PC. Real comfy hours ITT. Took the Princeton off because it was killing the vibe. Started off with the Mesa cab just humming with the cable not plugged into anything for maybe 10 mins, then took a loop and cycled it for about 3 hours and pretty decent volume. Already sounding a ton better but obviously there's a way to go.

Traded in my SG for this Epiphone Les Paul Standard. What do you guys think? I'm not quite sure of the finish on it. Is it a Lemon Burst or Honey Burst? Also, it's a little heavier than my SG so I may have to get a thicker, wider strap for it to make it a little more comfortable on the shoulder.

Really going for tones like Comeback Kid style melodic hardcore but also stuff like Make Yourself and Crow era Incubus.Also kind tough judging what I like atp since the V30’s arent even close to broken in. I bought amplitube before looking at other options really and I think it's ok but I dont like having to pay money to get other amps and pedals and such. Should I just get a vox AC30 or is there a better way to get that sound with a simulator? How do you guys record? Yes, I am aware that's a very broad question, but I'm thinking about the ways that your average anon on a moderate budget does home recording. I've never gotten on well with DAWs and haven't really tried beyond mucking around with the very sterile PODfarm and Ableton when I was like 17.
