I don't remember the last time I woke up well before my alarm just to immediately sit down and go back to writing. Well, there you go. Sally is all done. Green's done. Everyone go home. Or that's what I would say but this is I think a solid end to the first part of Sally. Why are we getting a second part? Why is this well over... what, 53k words at this point? I don't fucking know man. I'm just doing it. We haven't seen the last of her. We haven't even seen all of her yet. But Anon has sure tasted at least part of her. Apparently he wants more. Only issue is that this has directly impacted what Fringe wants; to not be alone.

One of the things I like about Sally and the gang's story weirdly enough is that every hybrid we've met so far has been completely mentally fucked. The basic conflict of the story is an I can fix her/She'll make you worse dichotomy but if we humor the thought that their problems are innate to their existence as hybrids more than actually being the product of anything that's happened in their lives it makes Anon's situation much more.... bleak. Not only can YOU not fix her, she CAN'T be fixed. You can't talk it out with them like you would a human because they fundamentally don't process their thoughts and emotions the way a human would. There's no prescription you can give them because their brains are on a biochemical level different than ours. Nothing would work. And what's worse is we don't even know what's actually nature and what's nurture. If we were confident that "all hybrids are just like that" then the takeaway would be that Anon can't waste the rest of his life babysitting mentally stunted half-breeds and he should just cut his losses and run. But we don't know. Our sample size is only 3 but all 3 have painted a pretty bleak outlook. We don't know if Anon really can fix them or if he's just going to get trapped in a never-ending cycle of bullshit of him trying his hardest to avoid stepping on landmines and then running damage control when he inevitably does. It reinforces the fix her/break you conflict of the story, I think.By the way, if you liked this I strongly STRONGLY reccomend you read Asper Kanojo. It's another story about a man trying to avoid getting trapped in a never-ending cycle of bullshit and has a happy ending where he does fix her. The main guy's a lot like Anon (at least I think so) and the main girl's a little bit like if you took Fringe's bluntness and mixed it with Sally's pessimism.

I keep trying to work over in my head how a yandere Celestia might work. She imprisons you under the guise of you being a potentially dangerous xeno-equestrian lifeform. And then that's it... she's got you. She keeps you sequestered in a room in the castle - which she owns In the heart of Canterlot - which she owns In the heart of Equestria - which she owns. Even if you somehow manage to escape a castle filled with guards and a city also filled with guards and manage to hide yourself out in the countryside you're not getting very far on two legs unless your plan is to completely avoid all signs of civilization until you hit Yakyakistan. And you're probably going to have to travel even further than that before you're completely outside of any form of equestrian intelligence or force projection. Your odds are slightly better if you're also a pony in this scenario but only in the sense that you don't have the massive debuff of being able to get spotted from several miles out on silhouette alone. And once your face gets put on wanted posters and those posters get distributed out you're pretty much equally screwed. You know this. Celestia knows this. So threats are basically unnecessary. And since she's 1000 years old she's infinitely more patient than you and infinitely better at playing the long game so there's nothing you can really do to piss her off. Her yandere treatment is just going to be her smothering you until you give up resisting. Which does have its own sort of tension, I think. But lacks the active sense of danger I think a good yandere story needs. I think Daybreaker would be better at the whole violence and domination shtick, but then we're basically dealing with a character that's Celestia in name only. I think it's the same way with Nightmare Moon/Luna where I could totally see Nightmare Moon yandere-ing out if she ever fixated on one person/pony in particular but Luna herself is too much of a dork to really do anything other than grab you and hold you until you stop squirming.

Which ponies do you think are underrated when it comes to them turning into yanderes? For me it's Autumn Blaze. She was already going insane by the time AJ found her, I can only imagine how badly it would turn out for a poor Anon that were to find her before Sounds of silence happened. There is a good chance she'll keep you around as her husband and pretend random objects are your children. May god have mercy on you if you don't play along.
