Loitering around after seeing a Samurai Troopers 30MF Yamato review, I've been thinking, what if the 30MF Shion figure will also come with an alternate Ryusei head and shoulder parts? Considering how long they developed these figures and Shion already entering final production stage, adding a few extras because Shion and Ryusei had equal time as Samurai Troopers (12 episodes each per user for extremely convoluted reasons) might be a special bonus. Just hope they actually make the original Samurai Troopers next year.

are bandai's water slides ass or do I just suck at applying them? I've tried with several ver ka kits in the past and 90% of the decals fall off just by touching them to pose, it left me a fucking trauma and now I never even bother. In the other hand I tried some chink third party kit, the kit looked empty without any decal so I gave its water transfer decals a try and they worked just fine

Just finished this. Thought it'd be a 1:1 of the RG long range fin funnel, and boy was I wrong. The surface is typical chinese 3rd party quality of fuck your sanding abrasives, and fitting is either loose or extremely tight. The internal frame has a long seam right down the middle and you can clearly see it sticking out, and two other moving parts have seams that need welding, though maybe I can get away with just making a channel to hide the seam.

Ok so, a quick review on AK's Advanced Kehaar II. Snapfit stuff is good, as expected from AK Model. However, this thing feels like it is gonna commit self destruct sooner or later. Very heavy addons for such a filmsy HG, and AK didn't even give TR-6 improved joints like Hazel Custom.

Dumb panel lining question that I am sure has been solved elsewhere a billion times, but I'm primarily looking for a yes/no answer.I know the general rule of thumb is to panel line on the sprues/runners *before* snipping them out. This helps avoid the problems with micro-fractures in the plastic that appear post-snipping. However, I also know Tamiya panel lining can potentially be caustic to plastic (with ABS being the biggest concern) regardless.So here's my question, if I am using Tamiya panel liner, should I snip everything out and then airbrush each piece with a gloss varnish before lining or is it fine to apply on the (non-ABS) plastic while still attached to the sprue/runner?I'm fine with either way (even though the latter will save a lot of time by cutting out the gloss varnish step), but was curious as to what people here feel. Regardless, I'll be applying a matte varnish at the very end.

Oh and if you don't mind, white spirit is generally less aggressive towards plastic than Tamiya thinner so you can make your own liners with oil paints diluted with white spirit. Somewhat pointless if you already have panel liner but I use this method myself.

Are actual Frame Arms (the original mecha kits, not the girlpla) kit really just rarely reprinted?I got the recent-ish Exosuit Baselard kit. Where it offers both the original Frame Arms mecha and the Girlpla version in one package while having a mecha cockpit adaptor of sorts where you can turn the original Frame Arms mecha into a powersuit mecha for the Frame Arm Girlpla. The neat thing about the adaptor is that its compatible with pretty much all existing Frame Arms kit, both the Mecha and Girlpla. So you can convert any of the original Mecha into powersuits for the Girlpla. So I've been wanting to do so for some of my Frame Arms Girl kits. But the thing is, I can barely fucking find any listings of the original Frame Arms mecha themselves anymore.

Crafta put so much effort in disassembling Kshatriya to paint all the parts just for the kit to... look almost exactly the same as unpainted snap built LOL. That's why you do metallic/candy/recolor or don't paint at all. Clear Matt is enough to make a difference without repainting.

Loving the tools/accessory rabbit hole that Gunpla has taken me down.So... scribing. This looks to be something that can greatly help with both deepening current lines *and* be something I can use in my main Warhammer hobby (got to love Space Marine armor lining tapering off). I'm seeing a bunch of different types of chisels, however such as regular, wide, ones that look more like blades, ones designed for deburring, etc.Does anyone have any experience for recommendations with rescribing panel lines? Not looking at doing anything new, but rather making sure what is there looks solid. However, if most people here think it's a pointless exercise for anyone outside of the most elite/advanced then feel free to let me know!

My university had a gunpla build event. They provided EG RX-78s, Nus, and Strikes, food, and a playlist of Gundam OPs and AMVs for like two hours. No tools though. Saw some people building a HG Sazabi and The-O. Almost everyone else was building the provided EGs.

When you have a model kit where the shin area has separation and tou have to glue it or fill the gap with sprue glue and sand it down and fuse it together, then what??? because you need to have the other pieces it connects too already inside of it also. So how can you paint everything? I’m going insane trying to figure out how this happens or makes sense. Think knee joint being assembled and put inside of the leg which you now fused together. how do you paint all of this bevause tou can’t seperate it
