It’s in a weird spot desu, after the main series ended on Netflix they tried to reboot it from the ground up (which most certainly would’ve taken elements from the comics like Lord Drakken and the like) but it’s cancellation did cause a brief uproar from the fanbase since it meant there’s not gonna be material for a long time, and not to mention the super sentai series taking a long break. The series wouldn’t have suffered this fate in hasbro’s hands had the dude that had the very vision to make the series enter another golden age not die shortly after the acquisition leaving hasbro running around like headless chickens trying to figure out what to do with it, so they decided to screw over rival toy company Bandai instead and that’s kinda how it all went down, its an unfortunate situation indeed sorry for the reposts I messed up a few times but third times the charm

It's effectively just a nostalgia IP farm now. Every time they try to make a new show they get into preproduction, balk at the cost after being used to Sentai doing most of the work for them and then cancel the project. And since Sentai is now defunct they can't use that anymore either.
