I’m surprised Sandlot hasn’t either remastered this game or done a spiritual sequel yet. They’ve done very well with Earth Defense Force that I’m sure they have the money for it, and the game has been picking up in popularity enough that I’m sure it would sell better than the first time it was released. Even a PC port would be great.

This game gets a lot of flak from the cartoonishly terrible voice acting and early PS2 jank, so it's a shame that all of that overshadows the hardcore /m/ earnestness underneath it. Really, all this sequence was missing for maximum kino was a fucking legally distinct Jam Project vocal song kicking in the moment Vavel activates Genesis mode with the player's full control the first time.
