What happened to colonies? How many were actually destroyed? >Side 1 (Zahn): Located at Lagrange point L5; served as an early administrative hub for the Earth Federation.Side 2 >(Hatte): Located at L4; famously site of the British Drop operation during the One Year War. >Side 3 (Munzo): Located at L2; became the home territory of the Principality of Zeon. >Side 4 (Moore): Located at L5; heavily contested and later merged or reorganized during wartime. >Side 5 (Loum): Located in a halo orbit near L1/L4; site of the devastating Battle of Loum. >Side 6 (Riah): Located at L4; remained neutral during the initial conflicts of the One Year War. >Side 7 (Noa): A newer, late-addition colony cluster where Amuro Ray and the RX-78-2 Gundam originated

I don’t think Gundam does a great job in showing how devastating the war was. Depending on the source, Sides 1, 2, 4 & 5 were pretty much destroyed. I don’t like how Origin depicted the initial conflict. I like the idea of Zeon using Zaku II-Cs shooting nukes and gassing colonies. With the battle of Loum being a cataclysmic battle where the colonies were destroyed in the crossfire, and the federation losing, but Zeon taking heavy casualties.

I always thought that most of the sides were either fairly split or leaning towards Zeon or the Feddies. Imagine cylinders either tearing themselves apart or attacking other cylinders with whatever forces they had.

I would like an OVA (not origin) to go over prewar, the start and end during the earth drop operations.

Aren't Zeon ships more maneuverablethan Federation ships? Zeon build their ships in space and don't have to worry about gravity or needing to launch them from Earth on a rocket. So Zeon can slap on bigger engines. The Federation ships have a weight and tonnage limit since it needs to be launched from Earth's gravity.

The first Entertainment Bible had the Dolos listed as a ship at the Battle of Loum > On January 15, a fleet battle began in Side 5 (Loum) airspace. The difference in fighting strength was dramatic, as the Federation Forces had 12 Magellan-class battleships, 61 Salamis-class cruisers, and 201 supply ships and other medium and small vessels, while the Principality forces had 3 Gwazine-class battleships, 12 Chivvay-class heavy cruisers, 39 Musai-class light cruisers, 1 Dolos-class carrier, and 87 medium and small vessels. However, the Principality forces also had a mobile suit corps made up of the MS-05 Zaku I and MS-06 Zaku II.
