No because there's very little mecha. It's introduced at the very end of Cold Steel 1 is a major part of II then gradually tapers off. III and IV have mecha fights but not as many as II, Reviere has one, then Daybreak I and II move away from mecha entirely as anything but stuff antagonists use. Horizon brings them back on the player side but only for two fights total and using a different system than Cold Steel.Which is too bad, because the mecha of Trails are very good from a design point, but the games aren't really interested in them to the extent that say, Xenogears was.

No, I was a massive Falcom fan for years until they went to shit trying to attract the Persona crowd. The only one that's really fun is Ao no Kiseki which is about a magic using police squad that gets in to hijinks.I recommend you skip it unless you like jarpigs, because mostly it's 6~7/10. I like jarpigs, use to binge them whilst drunk.

Falcom somehow managed to make mecha battle fucking boring.

not really because the mechs only get used in in the final battle of CS1, CS2, CS3, CS4, and the final battle of Reverie

i never played trails but i remember that one webm where the mc is dramatically slashing the guns out of a couple soldiers hands who were trying to shoot themselves in the head which was pretty funny

All the Divine Knights are great characters EXCEPT Ishmelga who is a villain cliche spouting retard and the worst Sept-Terrion thus far massive falling from the Aureole and Ao no Demiurgos.

I hate the robots in Trails for the same reason I hate the robots in Xenoblade X. The combat does not do mechs justice, in any way. For me, you have to either go full on simulator like Mechwarrior, with predicting firing arcs and constantly utilizing movement on foot, or go full on aerial like Armored Core, where you're darting around. Xenoblade and Trails have this problem where most of, if not all, combat is just standing still while you spam abilities off of cooldown. It really turned me off from both series. On a personal note, I also hate seeing the faces of the characters. To me, a robot IS the face of the character. the pilot should remain faceless.
