I did not know Riichi Seike was the suit actor for Jupiter Bit in Cybercop. Ironically, it's actually even sadder than his death. There's this guy on YouTube who remastered not only the English dub of Spectreman, but ALL dubs of it! & his remaster is uncut compared to the other remaster which keeps all the cuts the dub originally came with. & now they're uploading the series raw..... with AI-generated subs, which sucks obviously, but it makes me think, correct me if I'm wrong but surely it wouldn't be THAT hard for someone who knows Japanese to fix those, or anything with bad subs for that matter, right? Definitely gotta be way easier than subbing it from scratch at least.

There’s an 80's Korean toku movie called Thunderhawk from Outer Space (외계에서 온 우뢰매), starring the notorious Hyung Rae-Shim, which got like 8 sequels. I bring it up because I saw a bunch of English reviews for it on Letterboxd all from around the same time, meaning it had to have been subtitled somewhere, but I can’t for the life of me find where.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure there were no live-action Japanese superhero shows between Messenger of Allah & National Kid in 1960, & Ambassador Magma & Ultraman in 1966. Would it be controversial to say that superhero manga/anime like Astro Boy, 8-Man, & Cyborg 009 are like the missing link between those 2 eras of toku?
