Right now the most /m/ thing I've been playing consistently is Ace Combat, since 8's coming out I decided to replay every game. It's been fun. I have been playing a lot of Vital Shell, which is a Vampire Survivors style roguelike featuring fantasy mecha. It's fun for what it is and it was only 6 bucks so I've more than gotten my money's worth.

I'll be getting Brigador Killers because that one seems to expand on Brigador in a good way all-around, but Scramble Vice is probably worth dropping some cash on as well.>project landsword(TBA)
I want to like it, but it's just a bad Bullet Heaven-type game at this point. Seems like Mech Havoc is the better top-down mecha shooter in anything other than the illustration of brown anime tomboy pilots.Steel Bounty has very mid mech designs, but the overall package sounds promising.

If we're talking about upcoming or recent releases, may I shill Chaos Front?https://store.steampowered.com/app/2770330/Chaos_Front/I loved Chaos Galaxy 1 and 2, which were passion projects from one Chinese guy putting the old-school Koei Romance of the Three Kingdoms games in space with mecha, and Chaos Front seems to be more of a character-driven RPG which focuses on a single mercenary company. The pixel art/sprites look like theyre gonna be a big improvement on the first ones, its been fun watching the dev (Han Zhiyu) improve.

I've been playing mecharashi and heard it was supposed to be a front mission game originally. Where should I start with it? If it's the first game should I play the original with TL patch, the DS remaster, or the remake?
