So, speaking of the arena, what about Formula Front 2 but it's a Forza Horizon kind of thing?
>a huge enclosed region vertically sliced into multiple zones: a surface region with multiple types of biomes (terrain traversal/general purpose), a reappropriated abandoned underground city (urban combat/tight spaces playground), a warship fleet converted into loosely connected floating islands (full flight/Itano Circus type maneuvers) and above all a space station (the final frontier/endgame), all connected with a space elevator kind of structure in the center, the main but not sole means of travel between them
>the maps are sprinkled with both open world challenges and closed area "missions", be it racing/combat racing (from SchneiderMAXXED frames with no weapons to full on REDLINE), combat arena (think pvp modes but also in single player), historical reenactments (short storylines composed of special encounters or challenges based on the events from the old games, think Nexus Revolution Disc but it's a motorsports funfair), doing shady things (classic merc missions but it's mostly nighttime hit and run sabotage and less full on open corporate warfare) and some hidden surprises if you're extremely lucky/unlucky (that depends on how good you are)
>the shop stocks all the regular parts right from the start but you can get altered variants or special/prototype parts by beating specific ACs/bosses/challenges/getting sponsorships
>free LR style part and weapon tuning but it's loadout specific so you don't have to retune the parts when swapping between different ACs that share them
>AMS style tuning with points awarded in similar way as the original, so you can fine tune even more if you're good enough
>no hard lock (no spastic enemies that would require it, although melee weapons still home to a certain degree), instead you swap between a (free movement) decoupled camera mode and a (strafing) snapped behind back view mode, with both having use in different scenarios
