It’s aesthetically not as iconic as the Zaku II, but narratively more intimidating.
When 0079 was originally airing on toonami, it was extremely hype that suddenly Zeon had suits that could spec match the RX-78.
Child me thought the Dom was the most intimidating mobile suit reveal overall, they had the “creepiest” look.Gelgoogs are amazingly cool and served their narrative purpose perfectly.

The TRUE SEED Gelgoog. So forgotten nobody it. The Guaiz was so good looking but gets the least amount of love of all ZAFT grunts. It was similar to the UC Gelgoog in terms of development history but it went on instead to be the basis for ZAFTs NC powered units.
