I would call him that. I always wondered why culture critics like him always found themselves in the indie/alternative or punk/new wave scenes and then it dawned on me genres like metal are thoroughly working class and despite asserting otherwise stuffy academics have nothing but contempt for the working man. One day I hope to change that.
