Today is the day /lit/.
I am finally getting back into reading...Life has been complicated ever since the lockdowns, and I haven't had the time to actually sit down and enjoy any books in years.
I just pickedup some new books that I've never read before...Perhaps these books will spark my love for reading again.
Thoughts? Also please recommend me books to read.

There's nothing wrong with those. Dazai might be a bit difficult to understand if you're trying to ease yourself back into reading. 48 Laws is very interesting if only for the quaint historical anecdotes he uses to support his 'laws', these might spark an interest in a particular historical period that you can then go and read some dedicated non-fiction for. Holmes is a solid entry into crime fiction, and Jurassic Park is readable science fiction (a lthough not fantastic).

Read more japanese naturalism from the late 19th and early 20th century. Tuttle and Kodansha have a decent catalog, the university of Hawaii as well.

Also Robert Greene is kinda trash, only gimps read him to try and ‘manipulate’ people….Most manipulation people do is almost subconscious at a point, like a hidden passenger giving you directions.

You don't need recs right now, just read. Nothing wrong with non-fiction, so bottom right sounds good (haven't read it, don't know anything about it). Jurassic Park is a fun read; someone here once described michael crichton as "patrician middle school lit". It made me kek and it always stuck with me for how apt it is. He's perfect for you right now so dig in. If you want an even softer start go with watchmen since it's quite wordy or literary for a comic book.
